We realized that there are about 20 antique stores within a 10 mile radius of our house so Monday morning we set out to find some treasures. |
 |
This property is right across from the entrance to my neighborhood, and its basically the most beautiful thing you've ever seen. |

Cutest little cemetery less than a mile from our house. |

While on our drive to show Kraig my old high school, we couldn't help but notice all the deserted trucking centers along the way. |

this past labor day weekend was probably the best and most memorable. i was lucky enough to head home to ohio to visit my parents and little sister. i feel like while i was growing up i never really noticed all of the humble beauty that ohio had to offer. also, this was only kraig's second time being home with me so it forced me to get out and gain a new perspective of the town i grew up in. in short, im pretty obsessed with this place, and wish i could go back more than just once or twice a year (being a grown up is the worst!). the weekend consisted of manis/pedis with my mom, going for little drives with my hunny (mainly because we got rear ended last week and our rental car is a hybrid and gets THE BEST gas mileage), many competitive games of hearts with my family (we used rook cards and played with 5 people instead of 4), discovering the local antiquing scene (my dad printed out a map and made an antiquing route for us), and finding the cutest little farmer's market at
szalay's farm (ode to ohio. part II).
thank you, mom & dad for hosting us this past weekend. it was so special!
